What other countries accept the German visa besides Germany?

Countries like Austria, Slovenia, Greece, Poland, Netherlands accept a German Visa! This means, if your Visa application gets issued then you can travel to more than just one country! The German Schengen Visa allows you to travel for 90 days in a span of 180 days around 25 countries.

When will your insurance end?

Language students, intern and doctoral students Insurance coverage of the private insurance EDUCARE24 (S, M, L or XL) expires automatically on the agreed date. Students up to age 29 TK public health insurance cover applies until you finish your studies or until the semester in which you reach the age of 30. How does the PROTRIP-WORLD insurance actually work?

Information for Work and Travel participants – The PROTRIP-WORLD insurance for Work and Travel participants adapts to your travel plans. You have the choice between different travel regions and you can also flexibly choose the scope of insurance: PROTRIP-WORLD always includes a strong international health insurance. We especially recommend Work and Travel participants to supplement their insurance cover with the Comfort or Plus Package to be able to travel and work without worries. The two packages differ in the scope of the liability insurance. The Plus Package includes a higher basic insurance sum and covers, for example, the risk of losing your keys and damages arising from an act of favor.

Who is MANGOPAY?

MANGOPAY is an online payment technology designed for marketplaces, crowdfunding platforms and sharing economy businesses. MANGOPAY provides the trustee services and payment technology underlying Expatrio’s blocked account. Expatrio’s blocked account is tailored to each customer and it enables individual accounts for each customer, including an individual IBAN. With the MANGOPAY technology, funds can be held securely for as long as needed. MANGOPAY holds an E-Money Issuer license, which enables Expatrio to accept payments, hold the funds in escrow and pay out with ease, speed and efficiency.

Will quarantine costs be covered by the foreign health insurance?

Language students, interns, doctoral students and students from the age of 30 Quarantine costs are not covered by the foreign health insurance. Quarantine is often prescribed as a precautionary measure. This is not a medically necessary treatment. If you fall ill with the coronavirus during quarantine, the treatment is of course insured. What can you do in the event of an illness?

Free Travel Health Insurance offers you, among other things, cover for acute, unexpected illness or injury. If you are ill, first consult a general practitioner or, in the case of toothache, a dentist before going to a specialist or hospital. If possible, please present the doctor with the Ärzte-Info-Ticket (medical info card) prior to any treatment. The card contains information about the type of billing as well as important details regarding your insurance coverage. Doctors can settle their bills directly with us.
