Is it common for your visa to be rejected the first time?
Even if you admitted all the right documents and you did research on the Visa you needed, Germany being a demanding country can ask for other documents. If that is the case, don’t be discouraged and try again!
What does exemption from compulsory health insurance mean?
You can get an exemption from the requirement to take out public health insurance and conclude private health insurance at the official beginning of your subject-related studies. However, taking out private health insurance only makes sense for students who cannot conclude public student health insurance, e.g. if you are more than 29 years old. In these cases, we recommend EDUCARE24 XL insurance protection.
Please note that the following applies after the official beginning of your studies: Once you have taken out private health insurance, you cannot switch to public student health insurance anymore.
Which country had most German visas issued for their citizens?
In 2018, the most visas who were accepted by Germany were of the Armenian applicants. They applied to the Greek Embassy. Out of 15,000 applicants, 13,500 got their visa!
“Deductible” means that the insured person is obliged to cover a part of the treatment expenses. For example, a “deductible of €25 per insured event” means that you have to pay €25 of the medical bill yourself in each case of illness.
The health insurance of EDUCARE24 does not comprise a deductible.
Will your PROTRIP-WORLD insurance cover your expenses of a booked flight you’re not able to cancel?
No, travel expenses are not covered by the international health insurance.

The goal and task of the student organization AIESEC is to help students around the world to grow into socially relevant roles through leadership experience. By participating in social projects or internships abroad, you will expand your professional skills, improve your foreign language skills and increase your intercultural communication skills.
AIESEC supports you in your preparations for going abroad, you have to take care of the insurance coverage yourself. Under no circumstances should you travel abroad without a suitable international insurance policy.
What are the fees you have to pay for your blocked account?
You only need to pay a one-off set-up fee of €49 for your GBA Blocked Account. In addition to that, there are monthly costs of €5 for the management of the account.
Moreover, a safety buffer of €100 has to be paid. However, this amount is no additional expense for you because it is usually refunded when you close your blocked account.
