Who will need an ETIAS authorization?

You don’t need an ETIAS authorization if you are a member of a Schengen state and have a Schengen Visa. You will have to apply for ETIAS after your visa expires and will be granted one if you are considered adequate.

What is the purpose of the ETIAS visa?

ETIAS visa is a visa demanded for non-EU citizens who can enter the Schengen Zone and freely visit each of the states. It is used often for business and tourist purposes.

Are your plans only to visit one country of the Schengen zone?

If so, you have to apply at the application center for that specific country. You cannot choose the application center you will apply to, because that depends on some factors.

What is considered to be a single and multiple entry Schengen Visa?

You can apply for a Single-entry Schengen visa when you have to enter a Schengen State once for a specific time. When you exit the country, your Visa’s validity will expire. You should consider applying for the Multiple-entry Visa if you want to go in and out of the country as much as you want.

Will travel expenses be covered by the insurance even if your government recommends that you return to your home country?

No, travel costs are not covered by the foreign health insurance. We recommend: Contact your travel company to clarify whether, for example, the airline will offer you a goodwill arrangement (free rebooking or cancelation of your trip).

What should you do in case your visa gets rejected and you can’t attend the summer course in Europe?

If you were planning to attend a summer course in your favorite field in any country in Europe but unfortunately your Schengen visa gets denied, that is okay! If you miss the deadline of the course, there will always be other courses being held next year, maybe in a more beautiful European country.

Which documents are you going to receive?

Following your application, you will immediately receive an email with your insurance certificate for your records and for submission to public authorities, along with customer information and the “Ärzte-Info-Ticket” (medical info card).

Which Visa is the least likely one to get rejected?

If you’re looking to apply for a Schengen Visa, it is recommended you apply for a 90-day stay in every 6-month period. The short-term Schengen Visa is the least likely to get rejected.
